Quiz Night
It's been a while since I have shown this blog some love, but I'm back.
I've been working on my website recently, it's taking a while to get things done as I am also working a fulltime job which has been 45-50 hrs for the past month. But its getting there, I need to sort out the images and a few tweaks, but I'm happy with it in general.
I've been asked at work to make some posters for a quiz night that we are putting on, I am trying to go for a more traditional feel, as the building has a lot of history.

marbling
I marbled the stem from my BMX, it looks amazing, even if I do say so myself. I want to marble my whole bike now.
Marazion
I went on holiday to Marizion in Cornwall last week and found some stones with some amazing patterns on them, I want to use the patterns in something, but im not sure what yet. On another note, I found my girlfriends marbling inks today so I am going to try and marble anything I can lay my hands on.

"remix"
I got so fed up of looking at the same spreads over and over again, so a tried a technique that one of my friends, Stephen Hislop used for one of his projects.
www.stephenhislop.co.uk
The process involves changing the ".jpg" file extension to ".txt" then opening it with a text editor. Then mess up the code it produces, copy and paste, delete, type in random words etc. Then save it with ".jpg" instead of ".txt" to change it back into an image, and voila.
For this first one I copied the text from the original spread, and pasted it randomly in the middle of the code. then I continued to "remix" it until it was really distorted.
(The thumbnails look different to the full size image, so click it to see it properly)

I got some calligraphy pens so i thought i would have a play, I wasn't much good at the fluid style, so i tried something more rigid.

final prints for world book day stall
I have made 4 prints to sell at the world book day stall on the 3rd of March, next Wednesday, at the Winchester School of Art. I'm selling them for £4 each, is that a fair price? I don't know, I will have to see if they sell.
